Making CF Stand for "Cure Found"

To honor Patrick Crean, we are raising funds to support the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and the search for a cure so that one day CF stands for "Cure Found". Please consider making a gift today. Your support will help make a difference for all those with CF and their families.

Patrick’s life was shaped by his courage in dealing with the challenges of Cystic Fibrosis, a complex genetic disease for which he received his first of many surgeries at only a few hours old. Through the dedication and support of his parents through his childhood and beyond, Patrick continuously pushed against the boundaries imposed on him by Cystic Fibrosis, surpassing his life expectancy at every turn. He viewed everyday as an opportunity to do good. In 2002, he received a new lease on life through a double lung transplant which extended his life by more than two decades.

Everyone who met Patrick was touched by his kindness, humility, and sincerity. He met everyone with a smile and was always the first person to volunteer to help someone in need, whether it be to help a neighbor with home repairs, move a friend across the state, or mow his parents’ yard. To know Patrick was not just to like him, it was to love him.

Patrick wanted those around him to succeed and was happy to hold up a spotlight to allow his friends to shine. However we knew Patrick—husband, son, brother, uncle, cousin, friend, colleague, musician, public servant, neighbor, dog dad—our lives are all brighter for it.
