In Memory of Kay Robertson (1920 - 2020)
Kay Robertson was a lifelong advocate for those with cystic fibrosis. When her daughter Janie was diagnosed with CF in the 1950s, little was known about the cause of CF, and few treatments were available. An exuberant "cowgirl," Janie was a light in Kay's life. She devoted herself to making her daughter's life as full and happy as possible until Janie ultimately succumbed to the disease at the age of 10.
Kay gave generously to the CF Foundation over the course of her lifetime in the pursuit of new scientific research and treatments. Many new treatments were available by the time Kay's granddaughter, Katie, was diagnosed with CF in 1982. Her generous support contributed to the development of groundbreaking medications that benefit her granddaughter, now age 40, along with thousands of others who live with CF.
Kay wished to continue support of the CF Foundation in her passing, and you are invited to contribute your memorial donations in her honor.
