Dear friends, After a long battle, Christie passed away peacefully in her sleep Sunday, January 17, 2021. She won her battle. She is healed and free from pain and is in the incredible presence of Jesus. While she was with us here on Earth, Christie was a huge advocate for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation as they continue to work to search to find a cure. In her 46 years, Christie Fruits taught her friends and family many things. She taught us how to face challenges with tenacious bravery. She taught us how to love our spouse and how to quietly encourage whatever ridiculousness they could invent. She taught us how to be intentional in our relationships, to put others first, to focus our sights on Jesus and to trust that He was in control and His plan was greater than ours. She taught us that time is so valuable and to take each moment and to live each day to the fullest. She taught us that thoughtfulness, hand written notes, words of encouragement, and loving unconditionally are choices that we should all make every day. Even after being diagnosed with cancer in January of 2019 Christie continued to live out her life legacy of “She does Brave” and because of her strength and will “so do we”. Christie will always be remembered for living the belief that “God is good. God is good to me. God is good at being God.”Thank you for partnering with us as we continue Christie's heart's desire, to be focused, to be intentional, to do whatever it takes to help find a cure for Cystic Fibrosis.
