I've created this tribute page in memory of my son, Jay, who passed on November 20, 1995 from cystic fibrosis. He was only 6 years old. He was a brown-eyed, blonde-haired little boy who loved Power Rangers more than anything. Our favorite phrase was always, "You're MY guy.." something that we borrowed from "Wayne's World, and we'd always say to each other.
Back when Jay was born in 1989, there weren't many treatments for CF-as we were all just really learning about the science behind this illness. As each year passed, there were a few options, but nothing would become the miracle that we hoped for.
But today, treatments and research have so vastly improved and now offer so many advances. People with CF are now living longer because of the research and newer medications that have been developed.
But the research that helps to create these new treatments isn't free. It's funded by grants, gifts, and donations from people like you and me. It's made possible by those who want to be a part of the overall process of helping to find a cure.
So to honor Jay's memory, I am raising funds to support the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and the search for a cure. Please consider making a gift today. Your support will help make a difference for all those with CF and their families.
And to my little Power Ranger, you'll always be "my guy."
Thank you!
