Joye Courtney Stokes passed away peacefully on September 23, 2024 in Tallahassee at the age of 88 with her family by her side. She will be remembered as a devoted Christian, Wife, Mother and Grandmother who loved God, her family, the beach, baking sweet treats and sharing a funny joke.

Joye contributed to numerous religious charities and churches over the years. She also was an avid donor to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation (CFF.org) for over 35 years to help “turn CF into Cure Found” for all those affected by cystic fibrosis especially for her grandson, granddaughter -in-law and great-granddaughter. In her final wishes, “Mommee Joye” requested donations be made to CFF in lieu of flowers. This final act was an example of how deeply she loved and cared for her family.
