Running for Andrea Levy Goldman
Friends and family,
Sorry for the late notice, but I want to spread the word that I am running the Brooklyn half marathon next weekend in honor of Andrea Levy Goldman.
Andrea endured a life-long battle with Cystic Fibrosis and overcame more than anyone could imagine. Despite all of that adversity, she always maintained a positive and fighting attitude. She was and always will be a true inspiration to her friends and family. In short, she was a warrior. Andrea passed away this past December at the age of 37. She is survived by her husband, Adam Goldman, and her son, Bryce, who is 7.
In her last months, Andrea expressed a desire to participate in a half marathon once she recovered from her second lung transplant. She had previously completed a half marathon after her first lung transplant, which was an incredible feat. Since Andrea is no longer with us, I will be running in her honor and I would appreciate your help in the fight against this horrible disease.
