A cure for someone we love, Kadyn Carroll!
Please consider giving us a gift that will mean far more to us than any material possession ever could. A gift of keeping someone we love so deeply in our lives for the long haul. The gift of a cure for Cystic Fibrosis.
Kadyn joined us for one of our very first dates. Tim cooked us pizzas on the grill. Kadyn pretended to be interested in something in the fridge while nonchalantly looking back over at Tim and asking, “so is she your girlfriend?” Two years later, we gathered with many of you at the annual Great Strides walk benefiting Cystic Fibrosis. After the walk Kadyn asked if she could ride to the after-party with us. She started talking in the car about how she thought it was weird how one of Tim’s friends was 36 and still unmarried. Being mature for her age she almost immediately realized that the same was true of her uncle. She quickly tried to backpedal. Little did she (or I) know, Tim was planning to propose that very evening. One of our first calls after Tim popped the question was to Kadyn. On FaceTime, Tim jokingly told her that he had “thought a lot about what she said that morning ” and that he decided to make me his wife.
Kadyn has played a big role in our love story, and we plan on keeping it that way. While Kadyn is a warrior when it comes to fighting Cystic Fibrosis, it is a progressive disease and there is no cure. CFers have trouble breaking down mucus causing the lungs to clog leading to an entire host of life-threatening issues. If you want to know more about CF or the work of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation (cff.org), we would love to talk to you about it. Our dream is to watch Kadyn walk down an aisle on her own special day. Her long and happy love story will be because of people like you.

If you don’t know Kadyn, Tim’s 9-year-old niece, we can’t wait for you to see her walk down the aisle with her twin brother Koy on our wedding day.
