On Saturday March 14, Barry's in Back Bay will be holding its 3rd annual Treads for Change event. 21 teams will be walking, jogging, running, and sprinting for FIVE HOURS all for beloved causes we believe in. One of these teams will be raising at least $3000 for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
Cystic Fibrosis (CF) is an inherited disease that affects the lungs. According to the American Lung Association, it is the second most common inherited disorder occurring in children in the United States. About 70,000 people worldwide live with CF of which 30,000 are in the United States. About 1,000 new cases are diagnosed each year. Because of increased research efforts, those with CF are living well into adulthood.
This #TreadsforChange team is committed to helping find a cure for cystic fibrosis and is raising funds to support the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Contributions to this personal fundraising page go to the Annual Fund which provide important, unrestricted resources that help develop new treatments and pursue every opportunity for promising research that can lead to a cure. Your support will help make a difference for all those with CF and their families.
