If you’re reading this, I imagine you know the gist of this fundraising goal. To quickly recap, I am running the runDisney Dopey Challenge IN ONE WEEK! This is a 5K Thursday, a 10K Friday, a Half Marathon Saturday and a Full Marathon Sunday. Hence, it’s Dopey. I’ve been training since February, including simulation runs that are my longest ever. I’m now in taper mode and it is a welcome respite to be honest. This is hard!
But not like battling Cystic Fibrosis. It’s a multi-system disease genetic disease affecting young and old. But we’re getting closer to a cure thanks to people like yourself who have decided to learn more about this journey and effort. Exercise has been proven to be effective at improving the quality of life of people with CF; and as a physical therapist, I can help! I have been fortunate enough to work with many people with the disease and more who are fighting to make CF stand for “cure found”.
I am committed to helping find a cure for cystic fibrosis and am raising funds to support the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Contributions to my personal fundraising page go to the Annual Fund which provide important, unrestricted resources that help develop new treatments and pursue every opportunity for promising research that can lead to a cure. Please consider making a gift today. Your support will help make a difference for all those with CF and their families. Please contact me with any questions about CF. I want to help spread the word.
NONE of your donations go to my race fees, travel, or gear. Every penny goes to the CFF. No donation is too small. Everyone who donate $48.60 or more ($1/mile) will get a Witty Wicks candle from me as a thank you!
The CFF is closer than ever to finding a cure, but we’re not there yet. It’s not cured until every single person can say “I used to have CF”. #untilitsdone
