For my 60th birthday, I am asking friends and family to help find a cure for cystic fibrosis by donating funds to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Contributions to my personal fundraising page go to their Annual Fund which will provide important, unrestricted resources that help develop new treatments and pursue every opportunity for promising research that can lead to a cure. 

When I was born, the life expectancy for people with CF was 14 - the age my older sister passed away. Thanks to the work of medical researchers, financed through funds raised by organizations such as the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, many people are living into their 40s. At 60, I've lived well beyond most others, thanks to lung transplant, new medications, medical staff, friends, and family. More research and money is needed to extend life expectancy for others not as fortunate as myself.
