Taken from my Instagram: “ Some things I learned in the past two days: 1. Mindset is everything. Staying positive and telling yourself you can do something is invaluable. 2. Mental toughness is something you have to build over time. I wouldn’t have been able to do this two years ago, but I could do it today. 3. It is totally alright to be the unique person, in fact, I encourage it. We live in a very pleasure and comfort based existence, but it’s when you willingly push yourself out of that that you start living. This has been one of the most difficult things I’ve done in my life, but I’m so happy I did it. It’s a culmination of much of the steps I’ve taken to better myself over the past few years, and I’ve never been prouder of the man I am. I had two goals when I started this challenge. One, I wanted to raise over $5000 for the CF Foundation. Over the next few days, that goal will likely be reached. Two, I wanted to inspire at least one person. If I did end up inspiring you, or at the very least convinced you I’m a tad insane, share this post, donate, or just send me a message, I’d love to know! Finally, a thank you. Thank you to the faculty and staff at Niwot High for all their support, both mental and monetary, those that ran along with me on my legs and kept me company even at 1am, those that made signs and stood along the trail, and those that donated. Lastly, a thank you to David Goggins. You changed my life, and this one is dedicated to you.”
Hi everybody! From March 5th to March 7th I'll be running 4 miles every 4 hours for a total of 48 hours in order to raise money for the CF Foundation. I'm doing this challenge for multiple reasons. First, as someone with a twin who has CF, I know how impactful and important the CF Foundation's role is in creating better futures for those with Cystic Fibrosis, and what a important organization they are for many people. Second, I want to challenge myself, and I think this is a heck of a way to do so. I will be posting updates here for every leg I complete as well as on my social media as a way to follow along. I encourage you to pledge a certain amount per mile, or simply donate a bulk sum, or just support me when I'm going through it in the midst of this challenge. Thank you for your support!
