Dear Friends,
As many of you know, our grandson George was diagnosed with cystic fibrosis at two weeks old. CF is an inherited disease that causes severe damage to the lungs and digestive system. There is no cure for cystic fibrosis - yet!
George will turn 10 on October 8th. He is doing great and continues to fight CF every day. The progress that George has made is due to the CF Foundation. The breakthroughs funded by CF research already have extended the life expectancy and improved the quality of life for so many – but there is still a long way to go.
John and I have teamed up with seven other donors who have committed a total of $120,000 for a statewide fundraising campaign. The Florida Giving Challenge is crossing its fingers in hopes the community will raise an additional $120,000 between October 6th and November 14th.
