Welcome to Lindy's Page
Lindy Woodland
I’ve been feeling especially grateful lately for the gift of good health and how much life has changed for me over the past year.
Back in 2015, I had a small port placed under my skin near my collarbone because my veins were so damaged from all the IV antibiotics I needed. It made infusions and blood draws so much easier when I was in the thick of it. And while I was incredibly grateful for it then… I haven’t needed it in FIVE years. So this year, I finally had it removed. Hooray!! 🎉
And recently, I was asking friends for skincare recommendations because my hands are definitely starting to show their age 😂 One friend said, “I would like to celebrate that Lindy has 'old' hands. Hallelujah!" Honestly… same. What a gift.
Modern medicine truly feels miraculous sometimes, and I still can’t believe how different my life looks today. But there’s still no cure, and many people with certain genes still don’t have access to the modulator therapies that have changed my life so dramatically.
So we keep going. We keep fundraising. We keep sharing our story. We keep fighting. 💜
Please join the fight by donating... every single dollar is appreciated and helps!
