Welcome, and thank you for supporting Claire and the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation!

It is hard to believe that Claire is now a freshman in high school, moving on to such grown-up things and excited for everything these next four years will bring. She recently made her high school’s varsity soccer team as a goalkeeper, an accomplishment that fills us with tremendous pride.

Moments like this make us think about where Claire’s journey began 14 years ago. We were nervous new parents trying to care for a brand-new baby while navigating a frightening and uncertain diagnosis. We could never have imagined then the strong, independent, and incredibly active teenager she would become.

Through every challenge and illness, Claire has continued to inspire us. She has always impressed her doctors and nurses with her independence and understanding of cystic fibrosis. Although she may occasionally get a little grumpy when it is time to do her treatments, she is truly remarkable about managing her health and taking care of herself.

We are endlessly grateful for the wonderful doctors, nurses, researchers, and support staff who have walked beside our family throughout this journey. We are equally grateful for the extraordinary treatments that have transformed Claire’s life. Today, she is a teenager who loves soccer, hockey, softball, and just about any activity that keeps her moving.

This life would not be possible without the people who support the continued development of lifesaving treatments and, one day, a cure.
